Involved in more bands than I can remember, this guy is one of the main driving forces behind that stratospheric German punk scene we’re always talking about—the same scene that led us to proclaim Liiek’s latest album our top pick last year, a band he’s also part of. Now tapping into that same vibrant pulse, but even more tense, pushed to the extreme and stripped of angularity, DBR unleashes his most killer album to date via Phantom Records. "Unbearable"—I suppose the title refers to this shitty world we’re living in, which, like a Chimera, finds its Bellerophon in this record: capable of making us sweat and forget, at least for a while, the damn stress reality imposes on us, fighting fire with real fire this time—drums, bass, and guitar— to deliver a punk record in the purest sense, needing no further qualifiers: raw and defiant, powerful, with arrogant, daring rhythmic foundations; guitars whose riffs reveal the cold, hard gleam of metal; and vocals spat out with unleashed, convulsive energy Genre: Post Punk
